This purveyor of remarkable wine, spirits and beer in Canmore, Alberta wanted a modern commercial space where visitors and customers could cozy up to the bar and taste amazing wines. The concrete floor was transformed into a colourful surface with acid etching. The bar and transaction counter mirrored the colours in the floor with a custom copper laminate face and curved concrete counter. Shelving was designed to display specific wine bottles; storage below was designed to house bottles for purchase. Stone wall columns helped break-up the length of shelving and create a unique display with timber. Walls were kept neutral to offset the accent colour in the bulkhead and to help feature the exquisite wines.
